Abstract –
Biochar Support Opportunities from CAL FIRE
- The Wood Products and Bioenergy Team (Wood Products) is part of CAL FIRE’s Climate and Energy Program.
Through our Business and Workforce Development Grants, we award funding for business and workforce development projects that support California's forest sector. Examples include projects that increase the utilization of forest biomass or offer training opportunities in forest-sector skill areas. The 2024 Q1 Business and Workforce Development Grants solicitation is currently accepting applications with up to $20 million available for eligible projects. Applications are due March 8, 2024. More information can be found on the Wood Products and Bioenergy Website. Justin Britton is a Registered Professional Forester with CAL FIRE's Wood Products Team.
