Our Goals
- Markets: Developing end-use markets for biochar in agricultural, industrial, and infrastructure systems by supporting research and development and demonstration projects, and by developing guidance materials focused on real-world systems.
- Education and Outreach: Increasing awareness of biochar among a range of audiences by hosting workshops and webinars, and presenting tailored content to key audiences.
- Research and Innovation: Supporting key research and development to increase the use of biochar in high-value products in agricultural, industrial, and infrastructure systems.
- Sustainability and Climate Mitigation: Increasing demand for biochar to help grow the biochar industry as a climate-relevant carbon dioxide removal and decarbonization technology.
- Building the Biochar Community: Bringing together the biochar community, including researchers, producers, farmers, end-users, and others at our Annual North American Biochar Conference.
