In 2017, Clean Maine Carbon purchased the Greenville Steam Biomass facility, located in Greenville, Maine. CMC started its first biochar facility in July of 2023. The plant is transforming low-value discarded local woody biomass to high-value biochar. CMC anticipates further expansion of Biochar production.
