Building the Future from the Ground Up

From Smoke to Biochar: Carbonizing at Big Table Farm, Gaston Ore.

When Big Table Farm wanted to expand their vineyard, they searched for a better solution than the standard open pile burn. They wanted to avoid putting smoke in the air and the potential soil damage. They chose to carbonize the leftover tops, limbs and debris in an ROI Carbonizer 500. The machine carbonizes the material and makes biochar--a valuable soil amendment.
