Our biochar, called NAKED Char®, is pure activated biochar made from 100% recycled Southern Yellow Pine species. The biochar is produced through fast pyrolysis with temperatures ranging from 550-900° C. The particle size range of our biochar is .55mm – 2.0mm. We use consistent wood feedstock which creates a very porous biochar. Our biochar is activated, exposing the internal surface area of the fixed carbon – over 550 acres of surface area in one (1) cubic foot of biochar is available. NAKED Char® maintains a minimal amount of moisture to support pore integrity during transportation and increase its water holding capacity. Our activated biochar can reduce fertilizer leaching, increase soil microbiology and decrease soil compaction. Research has proven that our biochar will remediate contaminates from the soil such as herbicides and excess salts. OMRI Listed IBI Certified Made in the USA
