Abstract

Cellulosic Renewable Diesel and Biochar
New Biochar Production Facility - American GreenFuels Rockwood

American GreenFuels Rockwood (Tennessee), LLC (“AGF Rockwood”) is Kolmar Americas most recent renewable fuel project – construction of a cellulosic diesel production facility  located in Rockwood, Tennessee which will convert waste wood trimmings into a direct, drop-in replacement for fossil diesel. AGF Rockwood is a cellulosic renewable diesel plant producing renewable diesel directly from wood pyrolysis. This cutting-edge, renewable energy technology places AGF Rockwood among biofuel industry leaders in the fight to combat climate change with advanced biofuels.

During the continuous 24/7 production process, AGF Rockwood will produce a consistent quality of biogenic carbon (Biochar). Our biochar has routinely tested at or above 90% fixed carbon concentration levels, with sub 3% ash and low volatiles. During our pilot production, we produced several hundred metric tons of biochar, which we distributed through various industries. We have cultivated relationships with participants in the agricultural industry, who will use our biochar for agricultural applications; experts in the activated carbon industry, who will use our highly porous carbon products as filters; livestock professionals who intend to use our products to improve conditions for cattle and poultry; and soil remediation specialists who will use AGF Rockwood biochar to improve soil conditions, removing contamination that would otherwise pollute our environments.
